Silent Auction

SIETAR USA conference participants always enjoy finding treasures at the annual Silent Auction.

Auction proceeds provide scholarships to the conference for interculturalists who might not otherwise be able to attend, such as students and employees or volunteers of community-based non-profit organizations. Attending the conference helps them gain valuable knowledge, skills, and contacts in the field while contributing their perspectives and experiences.

You can donate products, memberships or services to the auction. Here are some ideas: A new book, video, or training tool, perhaps with an autograph. A consultation, training or a workshop. A special memento or theme basket from your hometown, region or country. A handcrafted work of art you have made yourself. We all need travel related items such as cameras, travel video players, I-Pods and accessories, headphones, Blackberries, CD players, books on CD, emergency and first-aid kits. Perhaps you can donate airline tickets, airline miles or a timeshare getaway. How about contributing a gift card. All of us have accumulated treasures during our travels and what better way to share those memories than with fellow interculturalits. By donating products, services, or other items, you can help those who might not otherwise be able to participate.
