Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) Information. RDU is the best airport to fly into for the SIETAR-USA conference. The conference hotel is just a short drive from RDU.

Many flights in/out of RDU connect through Atlanta, Charlotte, Washington D.C., Minnesota, and Detroit.

RDU has two terminals serving the following airlines: Terminal 1—AirTran, Continental, JetBlue, Northwest, Southwest, US Airways. Terminal 2—Air Canada, American, American Eagle, United. Delta.

Taxi Information
RDU Airport Taxi Service is operated by RDU Taxi, Inc. through an agreement with the Raleigh-Durham Authority. RDU Airport Taxi provides service to and from RDU. To schedule a taxi, please call (919) 840-7277. Reservations and on-demand service are available. According to the Embassy Suites website, RDU is 4 miles from the hotel. A taxi will cost approx. $12. Handicap vans are available. The Authority recommends making a reservation prior to your arrival.The Terminal 1 taxi dispatch booth is located on the curb near Southwest Airlines. The Terminal 2 dispatch booth is located on the curb on the terminal’s lower level.

Meter Rates: Meter rates are charged for trips within the taxi service area of Durham, Wake and Orange counties. Fares outside the service area may be charged at the meter rate or negotiated between the customer and driver. Typical one-way fares with estimated mileage:

Directions to the Hotel From Raleigh

From downtown Raleigh take I-40 West toward RDU Airport and exit 287 (Harrison Ave.). Turn south or left at the end of the exit ramp on Harrison Ave, go through the first two lights, turn right on Harrison Oaks Blvd and the hotel is located 1/2 mile on the right.

From 15-501 North or South from Chapel Hill or Durham: Take I-40 East for 18 miles and Take 287 (Harrison Ave). Turn south or right at the end of the exit ramp on Harrison Ave, go through the first light, turn right on Harrison Oaks Blvd and the hotel is located 1/2 mile on the right.

From Raleigh-Durham International Airport:I40 East for approx 2 miles. Exit onto Harrison Ave Exit 287. Turn right on Harrison Ave. Right lane and take first right after light onto Harrison Oaks Blvd. 3/10 of a mile on the right.
